Donegal Centre for Independent Living(DCIL) is part of the Worldwide Independent Living (IL) movement, controlled by, and servicing people with physical and/or sensory disabilities, enabling Independent Living through provision of services such as; IL Training, Personal Assistant Services, Information, Advocacy, etc. We formed in 1999, the Directors are democratically elected at the AGM. The daily business is carried out by a Management Team consisting of a Manager, Development Officer, FAS CE Supervisor, Administrators, and an Information Officer. We publish ‘Independent Living Magazine, and various publications for our staff, Leaders and PAS., and general information for the public domain.

Flora Women's Mini Marathon 2011
Congratulations to all who took part in the 2011 Flora Women’s Mini Marathon and to Caitriona Jennings from Donegal for winning the event.
DCIL would like to thank all the people who supported these fine athletes take part and conquer the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon 2011.
The Ladies Left DCIL office on Monday morning at 9:30 in full sprits, after receiving there race numbers and DCIL Flora Women’s Mini Marathon T-shirts. The race itself started at 3 pm from Fitzwilliam Square in Dublin. Thankfully the weather stayed dry for all to successfully complete the course.
All the DCIL participants fully enjoyed the day and are already thinking of the 2012 Flora Women’s Mini Marathon.
